You never could go around this guy, at the start I didn't like him (Akira fan to the bone, remember...) but when you grow older and take a step back from your childish brand and rider obsessions, and you start looking at some riders that weren't in your hugging list...damn. If you are going to give your life and skills to win ANY bloody race on the SBK planet without holding back on track or in the pits (remember the Chili incident?) you are something else. You can say he had ego, well most do. He wasn't there to make friends, he was there to take titles. And did he! This guy is a legend in my book. Read his bio by the way, worth it. Some things you thought about him will not change, but they shouldn't, he is the war machine he is and respect is due for that in my book. Nice racers never get first place.
