GIANCARLO FALAPPA PRINT

The lion of Jesi. A super tough hard charging balls out rider! Giancarlo was already racing for Bimota and scoring well for the team with their own chassis with Yamaha engine. His style was super wild, sliding and power-wheelying out of every corner. As said, a hard charger with a spectacular riding style. In 1990 Ducati took him under their wing, and he rode as hard as ever before picking up some scratches and injuries, always looking for the limit on his 851 4-valves twin. He tuned down his wildness a tone or two and started riding a bit more fluent, which resulted in more points, and he started winning in 1992. He was destined for greatness, that was a sure thing. Teammate to Doug Polen in team Police he was not scared or impressed by anyone, not even his world champ teammate! In 1995 unfortunately a very big crash testing some modifications on a 916 ended his career. His body never recovered enough to get back in the saddle, but man, what a real deal he was. I love those kinds of riders. All in, all the time.

Giancarlo I salute you, and thank you for all the great action you gave us! We might meet up at a Superbike race one day, I hope.
