GRAZIE VALE

What can I say. IL DOTTORE! 46! The racer that did it all for me and probably a lot of guys/girls/pets/aliens of my generation. I followed him from his first races in 125 till his last day racing. It was even a bit emotional sometimes to work on it. Can't explain. He did so much for the sport, and for a long time he carried so much of the MotoGP on his shoulders. And what a career that was. And the biggest part was to see the love of just riding, racing, duels, risks, wins, losses...all of it. Could he make himself look like an angel and get away with murder? Probably. Was he a very smart fox playing mind games with rivals and the press? Certainly. Was he a master at his own game on and off the track? Absolutely! Was he "The" GOAT? I'm too open-minded to choose that one rider out of all the greatest (surely when you see in what era some had to race spongy frames, no brakes, concrete tyres, and on what tracks...brrrrrrrr). But he is clearly in the top 2 for me. My biggest thanks go out to Vale for all the joy, the pizza's, the beers, the moments with friends watching his races and motivating people to go track riding just doing what he did. A BIG salute to one of the biggest GOATs!! GRAZIE VALE!!
And I had to picture him on the M1 Yamaha. I will never ever forget that first win after leaving Honda. What a middle finger to those boys.
